There is provided a nickel-hydrogen storage battery capable of suppressing fluctuation of the discharge reserve and the charge reserve of the negative electrode and suppressing lowering of the battery characteristic for a long period of time. The nickel-hydrogen storage battery (100) includes a battery main body (plate group 150, electrolyte, etc.), a case (102) for containing the battery main body, and a safety valve device (101). The safety valve device (101) has a valve member (110) of a cylindrical shape having a bottom. In this nickel-hydrogen storage batter (100), when the battery is charged up to SOC 60% after performing charge/discharge, the hydrogen leak velocity V1 (μ1/h/Ah) per unit battery capacity at battery temperature of 45 degrees C and reduced atmosphere of 10 kPa satisfies the relationship: 2 ≤ V1 ≤ 14. |
