abstract There is disclosed a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging agent that while carried by the blood, stably circulates over an extended period of time until effecting of solid cancer targeting and that is capable of presenting clear cancer images. The nuclear magnetic resonance imaging agent comprises, as an active ingredient, polymeric micelles composed of an inner core containing gadolinium (Gd) atoms and an outer shell containing hydrophilic polymer chain segments, which polymeric micelles after in vivo delivery to a solid cancer tissue or site and accumulation in the interior thereof, are capable of dissociation of polymeric micelle structure.
