titleOfInvention Cell culturing method by biomechanical stimulus load and its device
abstract A cell culturing method by a biomechanical stimulus load and its device for applying, as a repeated biomechanical stimulus, a stimulus similar to a vertical weight load stimulus or a lateral shearing stress stimulus acting on tissues in a living body on land to a structure body including culture cells, and culture tissues and culture cells by means of in-vitro culturing. The device comprises a mechanical stimulus loading device (2) and a culture vessel (3) installed in a carbon dioxide gas incubator (1), and a controlling computer (4), wherein the mechanical stimulus loading device (2) is provided with a weight loading piston (5), a piston-vertically-moving stage (21) for supporting this piston (5) so as to be vertically movable within a specified range, and a stage-vertically-moving mechanism (22) for vertically moving the stage (21), whereby the controlling computer (4) drives the mechanism (22) at a specified cycle to vertically move the stage (21) so that the weight of the weight loading piston (5) is applied to a culture (C) in the culture vessel (3) when the stage (21) is lowered.
