titleOfInvention Spinal implant fixation assembly
abstract An orthopedic fixation device for securing a rod (60) to a bone is provided. The fixation device includes a receiver (30) with two legs, a pocket (39) defined between the legs, an anchor (20) including a head (23), and a seat structure (40) that mounts within the receiver (30). The seat structure (40) includes a top seat (42) for receiving the rod (60) and a bottom seat (44) for receiving the head (23) of the anchor (20). The top seat (42) includes two legs (43) defining a pocket (47) and first and second raised ridges (49) that are spaced apart from one another. The legs (43) each define a recessed portion (45) extending between the two raised ridges (49). There may be a ring (50) secured to the receiver (30) such that the head (23) of the anchor (20) is captured between the ring (50) and the bottom seat (44) of the seat structure (40). Also the receiver (30) may include a kying feature (36) for limiting rotation of the seat structure (40) relative to the receiver (30).
