A method of immunoassay for determination of the quantity of analyte in a sample with the use of an enzyme-labeled antibody, the enzyme-labeled antibody composed of a first antibody capable of specific binding to the analyte which has an enzyme linked thereto as a label, in an aqueous medium, characterized in that the method includes the step of causing an enzyme-labeled antibody containing substantially only one or two or more enzyme-labeled antibodies selected from the group consisting of enzyme-labeled antibodies having numerical ratios of first antibody to enzyme linked thereto of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 2:1 to react with a sample to thereby form an immunocomplex with the analyte and the step of measuring the enzymatic activity of the immunocomplex so that any nonspecific reactions can be inhibited. |
