The ultrasonic probe includes: an ultrasonic wave transmission/reception unit (101) for transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave; an external case (105) for containing the ultrasonic transmission/reception unit (101); and an acoustic medium (106) filled in the external case (105). The acoustic medium (106) contained 1, 2-butylene glycol.
