A method for treating cancer is provided. The method involves administering to subjects in need of such treatment an effective amount of erythropoietin of an analog thereof effective to inhibit angiogenesis in a tumor. Also provided are methods to reduce HIF-lα protein levels and/or VEGF expression, particularly in tumors. |
