titleOfInvention Balloon catheter
abstract An intra-aorta balloon catheter (20) comprises a balloon (22) adapted to be inserted into the aorta to expand and contract itself so as to perform auxiliary actions for cardiac function, an outer tube (24) connected to the rear end of the balloon (22) so as to lead a pressure fluid into and out of the balloon (22), and an inner tube (30) connected to the front end of the balloon (22) and axially extending in the balloon (22) and outer tube (24). The inner tube (30) is bonded or fused to the inner wall of the outer tube (24) over a length (L1) 50% or more of the entire length from the front end of the outer tube (24). The inner tube (30) is engaged with the inner wall of the outer tube (24) by a cut-in piece (54) at the front end of the outer tube (24).
