abstract A joint prosthesis (20) comprises a first member (26) for engaging a first bone portion and a second member (24) for engaging a second bone portion. The first member comprises a first surface (34) with a first curve and the second member comprises a second surface (30) with a second curve. The first member is translatable with respect to the second member and the second curve is positioned within the first curve to bias the first and second curves towards alignment along a first axis (44) passing through the first and second bone portions.
