abstract A multilayer analytical element that realizes reduced inter-lot variation and intra-lot variation, ensuring high measurement accuracy and can be miniaturized. There is provided a multilayer analytical material for liquid sample analysis comprising a water impermeable planar support and, superimposed in sequence on one surface thereof and unified, at least one functional layer and at least one non-fibrous porous film, these constituting a porous liquid sample development layer. In particular, the multilayer analytical material for liquid sample analysis is a multilayer analytical element for liquid sample analysis wherein the non-fibrous porous film exhibits a flexing breaking strength of 20 gf or more and also exhibits an elongation at pulling with 50 gf of 2% or below.
