titleOfInvention Cover for cutlery items, such as forks, spoons and chopsticks
abstract The invention is characterised in that it comprises a system for covering the ends of items of cutlery, which resolves the problem of hygiene associated with the shared use of cutlery for eating (forks, spoons, chopsticks, etc.), by preventing any direct contact with the lips of the user. The invention essentially comprises an element in the form of a scoop which is positioned on, or fitted to the end or scoop part of the item of cutlery. The inventive element, which may be disposable, is shaped or designed such that it can be adapted to the end of various different cutlery items. The element can be made from different rigid, flexible, elastic or adhesive materials, or combinations of same, and with different finishes (shapes, colours, transparent, drawings, graphical advertising, etc.). The cover system can be adapted to cutlery items (forks, spoons, chopsticks) which are made from any material (metal, wood, plastic, etc.). Moreover, the invention can cover all or part of the end or scoop part of the item. The invention can be provided in a sealed wrapper in independent units in order to guarantee the sole use thereof. In addition, the wrapper can be used to position and fit the cover without touching same directly with the fingers or the element can be equipped with a film for said purpose, independently of the aforementioned wrapper. Graphical advertising can be provided on the element. Furthermore, the constituent materials, shape, size and arrangement of the element can be varied, provided that the essential design of the invention remains the same. The terms used in the description should always be taken in the broad, non-limiting sense.
