abstract The present invention relates to a leather process whereby the post tanning wet operations are done prior to tanning stage itself to make leather in ecofriendly manner in substantially shorter duration. It is envisaged to have enormous potential application in leather industry for making leathers with comparable sofness and grain smoothness, whereby the pollution load would be significantly less compared to that of the conventional leather processing.
