titleOfInvention Capsule-type endoscope
abstract A capsule-type endoscope having an illumination substrate (30), an image sensor (13), an imaging substrate (10), and a component installation section. The illumination substrate (30) is a substrate on which an illuminating electronic component (31) necessary for irradiating illumination light on a portion to be inspected of a subject body. The image sensor (13) has a light receiving surface composed of an effective region (B) and an ineffective region (C). The effective region (B) receives the reflection light from the portion to be inspected to form an image of the portion, and the ineffective region (C) does not contribute to the image forming. The image sensor (13) is mounted on the imaging substrate (10) so as to be parallel to the illumination substrate (30). The component installation section is the section where the electronic component (31) is provided. The electronic component (31) is placed in that region on the illumination substrate that is obtained by projecting the ineffective region (C), present in the light receiving surface of the image sensor (13), in the direction perpendicular to the light receiving surface of the image sensor (13).
