abstract A printing plate having a hydrophilic layer consisting mainly of a resin that is sensitive to light of the near infrared region, enables direct drawing of a picture thereon with laser beam and does not require development and wiping off operation and that even when an ink is attached to non-line-drawing portion at the time of printing operation, enables rapid elimination of ink stain; and a photosensitive resin composition for use in the printing plate. There is provided a lithographic printing original plate comprising a support and, superimposed thereon, a photosensitive layer, the photosensitive layer having a surface of phase separation structure, wherein portion derived from either one of the components constituting the phase separation structure is leached with water to thereby form recessed parts and wherein the lithographic printing original plate has such a property that the surface of the photosensitive layer is changed so as to have affinity for ink by irradiation with light.
