abstract |
The present invention aims to improve cycle characteristics of a high-capacity secondary battery wherein an active material is filled in at a high density by using a particulate active material having a small aspect ratio. Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode and negative electrode capable of adsorbing/desorbing lithium, a separator and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution containing a nonaqueous solvent and a lithium salt is characterized in that the separator has a porous film composed of a thermoplastic resin containing an inorganic filler, and in that the active material contained in the negative electrode is a particulate active material having an aspect ratio of not less than 1.02 and not more than 3 and/or the active material contained in the positive electrode is a particulate active material having an aspect ratio of not less than 1.02 and not more than 2.2. |
