titleOfInvention Carbon dioxide absorbing system
abstract This invention refers to a carbon dioxide (CO2) absorbing system, which may be advantageously connected to respiratory devices for the administration of anesthesia to newly born, pediatric and adult patients. More specifically, the invention refers to a CO2 absorbing system with a re-inhalation circuit for the administration of anesthesia and that overcomes all inconveniences existing in respiratory devices of the state of the art. The CO2 absorbing system basically comprises a manifold (14) including various connections to form the respiratory cycle, unidirectional valves (7) and (10), adjustable pressure limiting valve (11), soda lime reservoir (6), and a condensate collector (19) to collect water from the cycle.
