A resin composition for foams which comprises a branched rubbery olefin-based flexible resin (C) obtained by kneading an organic-peroxide-crosslinkable olefin copolymer rubber (A) together with an organic-peroxide-decomposable crystalline olefin resin (B) to thereby react these and increase the viscosity thereof, the resin (C) having a gel content (weight percentage of insolubles remaining after extraction with 138°C boiling xylene for 3 hours) less than 5%, the proportion by volume in the resin (C) of components having such mobility that the T2 (spin-spin relaxation) time as measured by proton (H+) pulse nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is less than 400 μsec being 55 to 95%. Use of this resin composition can provide foamed articles which are usable as, e.g., interior automotive parts, can have expansion ratios ranging from a high to a low value, are flexible, are excellent in cushioning properties, heat-insulating properties, and in-mold foamability, and have suitability for recycling. |
