titleOfInvention |
Pharmaceutical compositions containing human papilloma virus antigens |
abstract |
The invention relates to compositions which are used to induce an immune response, preferably cellular, and, in particular, a cytolytic immune response mediated by cells against human papilloma virus (HPV) antigens. One embodiment of the invention relates to compositions containing the protein fusion of a HPV antigen or portions derived therefrom to Neisseria meningitidis porin P1 and the bonding thereof by means of hydrophobic linkages or mixing with very small size proteoliposomes (VSSPs). The invention also relates to a composition containing peptides derived from HPV and the bonding thereof by means of hydrophobic linkages or mixing with VSSPs. The resulting vaccine compositions can be used to induce a cellular immune response against HPV and against cells that present HPV antigens including HPV-associated tumours. The aforementioned compositions are suitable for use in the pharmaceutical industry as vaccines in human therapeutics. |
