abstract The present invention provides mass spectrometry-based methods for high throughput identification of molecules with functional activities such as nuclease, protease, reductase, kinase, phosphatase, or tranferase activities towards biomolecular targets. These methods are useful for screening biological samples such as extracts, broths, lysates and natural product mixtures and provide valuable insights into biomolecular interactions of various biological ligands with biomolecular targets.
