titleOfInvention |
Tissue or organ manipulation device |
abstract |
The invention relates to a device for puncturing or otherwise manipulating human or animal tissue, which reliably detects and signals when tissue has attached itself to the device. The inventive device especially allows access to the interior of the pericardium once the pericardium has been pierced. The inventive device can be used for any human or animal tissue or organ, particularly in minimally invasive surgery where there is no direct visual control and where it has to be made sure that a tissue or organ to be manipulated has attached itself to a specific device, e.g. a puncturing device. The invention is not restricted to living tissue or organs. |
