abstract |
A heating element having an adhesive part which can comprise as a major component an aqueous hydrophilic gel agent obtained from a hydrophilic polymeric thickener. It has such excellent heat-generating performance that water transfer between the heat-generating part and the adhesive part occurs little. The heating element comprises: a heat-generating part formed by packaging a heat-generating composition which, in the presence of air, undergoes an exothermic reaction in an air-permeable container of a desired shape, e.g., a bag or sheet form; and an adhesive part comprising as a major component an aqueous hydrophilic gel agent obtained from a hydrophilic polymeric thickener. It is characterized in that the difference in critical humidity between the heat-generating part and the adhesive part is 5% or less. |
