It is intended to provide a novel biologically non-degradable peptide which is easily absorbed but hardly degraded in vivo when administered via, for example, the oral route and expected as effectively exerting functions such as a hypotensive effect in vivo; an ACE inhibitor using the peptide; and a drug or a functional food expected as effectively exerting a hypotensive effect in vivo. The biologically non-degradable peptide as described above is a dipeptide or a tripeptide having Pro at its carboxy end selected from the group consisting of Ile Pro, Glu Pro, Arg Pro, Gln Pro, Met Pro and Ser Pro Pro. |
