Resin particles which comprise a resin (a) and a filler (b) contained in the particles. The particles have a volume-average particle diameter of 0.1 to 300 μm and a shape factor (SF-2) of 110 to 300 and have a shell layer (S) comprising at least part of the filler (b), the layer (S) having a thickness which is at least 0.01 μm and is up to a half of the radius of the maximum inscribed circle of the particle section. When used as a resin for toners, the resin particles have excellent blade cleanability and a wide fixing temperature range. When used as an additive for coating materials or cosmetic preparations, the particles have excellent hiding power. When used as an additive for paper coating, the particles have excellent ink retention. When used as an abrasive material, the particles have excellent abrasive properties. |
