abstract The invention relates to colloidal dispersions of calcium phosphate tablets containing at least one calcium-complexing polymer, whereby the length of said tablets (L) is between 5 and 500 nm and the thickness thereof is between 0.5 and 20 nm. The invention also relates to the calcium phosphate tablets obtained by drying the inventive colloidal dispersion, and to the method of preparing the colloidal dispersions of calcium phosphate tablets. The invention further relates to the use of the aforementioned colloidal dispersions of calcium phosphate tablets as food additives, reinforcing fillers, heat insulating fillers, pharmaceutical excipients, polishing agents, construction materials, additives for dental formulations such as toothpaste or encapsulants.
