A non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition which comprises (A) a non-crosslinked base resin comprising a propylene based resin comprising 50 wt % or more of a propylene monomer and, incorporated therein, (B) a metal hydrate, (C) a hindered phenol based antioxidant, (D) a sulfur based antioxidant and (E) a metal oxide; a non-halogen insulated electric wire using said composition as an insulating coating material; and a wire harness using said wire in the wire bundle thereof. An imidazole compound and an oxide of zinc are preferably used as the (D) component and the (E) component, respectively. The non-crosslinked flame-retardant resin composition exhibits satisfactory flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, flexibility and processability, is free from deterioration over a long period of time, and is excellent in heat resistance characteristics. |
