abstract |
A water-base coating material composed of both an aqueous dispersion (C) comprising water and resin particles dispersed therein and containing at least one compound selected from among water-dispersible polyurethane resins (A), hydrophobic polyester polyols (B-1), and hydrophobic polyether polyols (B-2), and a hydroxyl-reactive crosslinking agent (D), wherein the water-dispersible polyurethane resins (A) are each one which is prepared by reacting a polyester polyol (a-1) obtained by condensation of a dicarboxylic acid component containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid as the main component with a polyol with a polyisocyanate and contains aromatic cyclic structural units in a proportion of 15 to 35 wt% based on the water-dispersible polyurethane resin (A) and the hydrophobic polyester polyols (B-1) and/or the hydrophobic polyether polyols (B-2) are each one which is liquid at ordinary temperatures and contains aromatic cyclic structural units in a proportion of 20 to 50 wt%. |
