titleOfInvention Method and device for the combustion of samples in an oxygenated atmosphere
abstract The invention relates to a method for the combustion of samples in an oxygenated atmosphere, to a sample container that is suitable for carrying out the inventive method and to a corresponding device. According to the invention, the sample is placed in an oxygenated atmosphere, ignited and burnt in said oxygenated atmosphere, whereby the combustion products are at least partially recovered. The method is characterised in that the sample is ignited by irradiation with microwave radiation. The inventive sample container (10) comprises a receptacle (11), which is at least partially composed of a material that is microwave-transparent and has a sealable fill opening (12), a removable cover (15) that seals the fill opening (12) of the receptacle (11) and a connection (18) for supplying oxygen.
