abstract |
A water-absorbing resin composition employing an antibacterial of the elution type. Even when an organic substance is present, the composition retains the antibacterial activity of the antibacterial metal and prevents an unpleasant odor from generating. The water-absorbing resin composition is characterized by comprising: a water-absorbing resin; an antibacterial comprising a porous substance and an antibacterial metal supported thereon; and a metal-chelating agent. Also provided are: an absorbent comprising the water-absorbing resin composition and hydrophilic fibers; and an absorbent article comprising a liquid-permeable sheet, a liquid-impermeable sheet, and the absorbent sandwiched between these. |
