abstract The invention relates to a solid regenerated standard viscose fibre. The inventive fibre has a cross-section whose surface is greater than the surface of the largest equilateral triangle inscribed in said cross-section by a factor of less than 2.50 times, preferably less than 2.40 times, more preferably less than 2.25 times thereof . The inventive fibre has a syngina-absorptive capacity of more than 6.0 g/g fibre.
