abstract | A reflection display device (D) that comprises a display substrate (1) and a rear substrate (2) disposed with a predetermined space; a transparent liquid (4) disposed in the space between the substrate; a partition wall (3) formed from a material capable of transmitting light and disposed between the substrates; a shielding layer (9) disposed between the partition wall and the rear substrate (2) wherein the refractive index of the partition wall (3) is larger than that of the transparent liquid (4), such that light rays incident on the display substrate at a predetermined incident angle which enter the partition wall are not totally reflected but refracted at a side of the partition wall, so as to enhanced reflectance of the pisplay device. |
