A 1,3,5-tris(arylamino)benzene of the general formula: (I) wherein A represents naphthyl, anthryl or phenanthryl; and R represents hydrogen or diarylamino. This compound has an oxidation potential of about 0.5 to 0.6 V, excelling in reversibility in the oxidation reduction process, and exhibits a high glass transition temperature, excelling in heat resistance. Thus, a highly practicable organic semiconductor film can be easily fabricated from the compound by coating or vacuum deposition technique. Moreover, the compound per se, namely without the aid of binder resin can form a stable amorphous film at ordinary temperature or higher, so that a stable highly durable high-performance organic semiconductor film constituted of the compound per se can be obtained. |
