abstract |
Eucalyptus EST database is prepared and used in extracting genes specifically expressed in eucalyptus wood forming tissues by the microarray analysis. As a result, these genes are classified into genes showing significantly higher expression in eucalyptus wood than in other woods, genes showing lower expression and genes showing little change. It is expected that the genes showing significantly higher expression in eucalyptus wood than in other woods and the genes showing lower expression are usable in biosynthesizing cell wall components and controlling morphological formation of wood fiber cells. |
