abstract | A multilayer unit comprising a supporting substrate, a barrier layer, a buffer layer, an electrode layer and a dielectric layer is disclosed. The supporting substrate is composed of a silicon single crystal, and the barrier layer formed on the supporting substrate is composed of a silicon oxide. The buffer layer formed on the barrier layer is composed of a dielectric material which contains a bismuth lamellar compound oriented along the c-axis. The electrode layer is formed by epitaxially growing a conductive material on the buffer layer, and is oriented along the c-axis. The dielectric layer is formed by epitaxially growing a dielectric material containing a bismuth lamellar compound on the electrode layer, and is oriented along the c-axis. |
