A novel monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing cancer cells of, for example, non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer or gastric cancer is produced by hybridomas which are obtained by fusing lymphocytes originating in a cancer tissue of a cancer patient with mouse myeloma cells. A remedy for cancer is obtained by using the antibody alone or in the state of being carried on the surface of a liposome having a toxin or an anticancer drug encapsulated therein. More specifically speaking, a remedy for cancer is obtained by using an antibody, wherein the heavy chain variable region contains the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:115 and the light chain variable region contains the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:117, either alone or in the state of being carried on the surface of a liposome having a toxin or an anticancer drug encapsulated therein. |
