An active oxygen species measuring device characterized by comprising an active oxygen species sensor provided with an electrode capable of detecting as a current the presence of active oxygen species, a power source means for applying a measurement voltage to this active oxygen species sensor, and an active oxygen species concentration measuring means for measuring the concentration of the active oxygen species from the current detected by the active oxygen species sensor. The device can positively measure the concentration of active oxygen species such as an in-vivo or in-vitro superoxide anion radical (O2-⋅), can be downsized in its entirety, can be always mounted to a living body, can transmit measured data to a remote location, can inform the health condition or the like of a living body obtained in a remote location back to an active oxygen species-measured location, and can monitor the health condition or the like of a living body by measuring and monitoring active oxygen species. |
