abstract |
A power supply device having a battery and a circuit board electrically connected together using a lead terminal, wherein the lead terminal (3) is formed to be thinner at a weld portion (3a) than at a conductor portion (3b) to allow a larger welding current to flow in a thickness direction and hence to increase an electric resistance at a weld portion, thereby increasing heating based on this electric resistance to enable the size of a weld nugget (63) to be enlarged. The formation of enlarged weld nuggets allows a lead terminal to be welded to the terminal unit (37a) of a battery (2) with high reliability. |
