abstract It is intended to provide a filter for removing fibrinogen and a filter device for removing fibrinogen and a method of removing fibrinogen using the same by which a serum sample not affecting blood examination data can be quickly prepared from plasma. A filter for removing fibrinogen from plasma which is made of a fiber mass, microparticles or a porous polymer capable of adsorbing fibrinogen, has a surface area of 0.5 m2/g or larger and a porosity of 85% or lower.
