The invention relates to methods for the transgenic expression of nucleic acid sequences, predominantly in plant tissue containing starch, preferably in fruits, roots, seeds or nodules. The nucleic acid sequence is expressed by using a starch synthesis 3 promotor as a control element. The invention also relates to transgenic expression cassettes and vectors comprising a starch synthesis 3 promotor, in addition to use thereof in producing food for both animals and humans, seeds, pharmaceutical products or fine chemicals. |
