The invention concerns a method for making composite plates which consists in: continuously depositing on a moving substrate a layer of yarns (2) in the form of a continuous fiber mat, a fabric, a knit fabric or an assembly of non interwoven continuous yarns, said layer comprising at least one organic reinforcing material, depositing on at least one side of said layer a powder of an organic substance capable of forming a coating film when heated, heating the powder coated layer at a temperature sufficient for melting the powder, compressing the layer and cooling it so as to form a composite web, cutting up the web into plates (13) and winding it on a rotating support. The invention also concerns a device for implementing the method and the resulting products. |
