titleOfInvention Prp detection method using an aminoglycoside antibiotic
abstract The invention relates to method for the concentration by precipitation of PrPsc to be used during the detection or diagnosis of PrPsc. The invention is characterised in that a biological fluid or a tissue originating from or obtained from an animal or human organism is brought into contact with an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside family, preferably streptomycin or one of the derivatives thereof. The invention also relates to the use of one such antibiotic for the elimination of PrPsc from a biological fluid or a tissue. The invention further relates to a kit for diagnosing pathologies linked to the presence of PrPsc.
