titleOfInvention | Prevention and treatment of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome with the use of immunoglobulins obtained from the egg yolk from hens hyperimmunised with the prrs virus |
abstract | The invention relates to the use of inmunoglobulins obtained from the egg yolk from hens hyperimmunised with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome. The aforementioned immunoglobulins are obtained by means of the extraction of the aqueous phase of the yolk through the use of Hydroxypropylmethylcellulosephthalate at a final concentration of 0.05 % and sodium azide at 0.001 %. The invention also relates to the administration of said immunoglobulins for the prevention and treatment of pigs infected with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, with the following aims: reduction in the number of mortalities, weight gain and diminishing of viral excretion in herds. |
