abstract |
The invention discloses a sheath (500) based puncture (506) locator and depth indicator. The invention provides for locating a blood vessel puncture site (506) and determining the depth of the puncture (506) of the blood vessel (508) extravascularly using the introducer sheath (500) that is already in place within the tissue tract. The invention also provides for positioning the introducer sheath (500) extravascularly or outside the blood vessel (508), controlling the blood vessel puncture site (506), and delivering a hemostasis promoting material (20) to a blood vessel puncture site (506). |
