An inkjet recording black ink that even after aging, exhibits excellent discharge stability and is excellent in weatherability. In particular, an inkjet recording black ink comprising a water base medium containing a dye whose λmax of absorption spectrum in an aqueous solution is in the range of 500 to 700 nm and whose normalized half-value width is 100 nm or greater. Further addition of a dye whose λmax is in the range of 350 to 500 nm to the above dye enables obtaining a water base ink that excels in weatherability, etc. |
