titleOfInvention Shock absorber with rear collision protection device
abstract The invention relates to a shock absorber system (10) for an intermediate region (2) between two branches (la, lb) of a fork in the road, at which one road (1) splits into two branches (la, lb). Said system comprises a collision region (11) provided with a front protective wall (13) and a shock absorber (15) which is positioned in front of said wall and is used to absorb the kinetic energy of a vehicle hitting the shock absorber (15) from a first direction of travel (4), from the road (1) to one of the branches, and one or two transition regions (12, 12a) which are connected to protective elements (3a, 3b) arranged on the edges of one or both branches, in the intermediate region (2). At least one of the transition regions (12) has a rear collision protection device (18) for absorbing the energy of a vehicle colliding from a second direction of travel (5) essentially opposite the first.
