abstract |
An object of the invention is to provide a binder resin for toner and toners which fill marketing needs for bisphenol A- and tin-free ones from the standpoint of environmental protection and are excellent in low-temperature fixing properties, offset resistance, and smearing properties. The above object is attained by a binder resin for toner which is produced by using a titanium- or germanium-containing catalyst and preferably contains structures resulting from a branched or alicyclic alcohol and in which structures resulting from terephthalic acid accounts for at least 60 mole % of the whole acid component, and toners produced by using the binder resin. |
