abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing polymers containing sodium acrylate units, by means of radical polymerisation of sodium acrylate and optionally other monomers in an aqueous medium. According to the invention, an aqueous solution of sodium acrylate is used, which can be obtained by dissolving or dispersing solid sodium acrylate in an aqueous medium. The polymers thus obtained have an improved colour index and a lower residual monomer content in relation to conventionally comparable polymers. |
