titleOfInvention | Microwave system for detecting bubbles |
abstract | The invention relates to a microwave system for detecting bubbles. The inventive detector employs microwaves to detect air bubbles in a flow of paste which is conveyed through a Teflon hose or tube, said microwaves being absorbed to a greater or lesser extent by the pastes. The inventive device comprises an emitter and a receiver and the power received by the aforementioned receiver is constant while the flow is uniform. According to the invention, a dispersion is produced when a bubble appears. As a result, the air does not absorb the microwaves and the power received is altered in relation to the base value of the uniform flow. A dispersion is also produced when clots appear in the paste. |
