titleOfInvention Device, insufflation device, measuring device, and method for insufflating an insufflation gas into a body cavity
abstract Disclosed is a device (10) for insufflating an insufflation gas (16) into a body cavity (18), comprising an insufflation device (12) for delivering the insufflation gas to the body cavity. In order to detect potentially critical conditions in the body cavity, the inventive insufflation device is configured so as to evacuate a test gas (20) from the body cavity and is provided with a device (14) measuring an additive contained in the test gas in addition to the insufflation gas and emitting a test signal (92) according to said additive. A care provider is informed about the gas conditions in a body cavity, particularly an abdominal cavity, during an intervention therein, allowing critical situations during and following the intervention to be prevented.
