A process for producing an organic compound in the presence of a specific substituted triarylphosphine compound. The process particularly comprises reacting an organic epoxy compound with a carboxylic ester, carboxylic anhydride, sulfonic ester, or carbonic ester to produce an oxyalkylene derivative in a high yield from those compounds, which are highly active and easy to handle. Also disclosed are: an epoxy resin composition containing a specific substituted triarylphosphine compound as a hardening accelerator; a cured article obtained from the composition; and a semiconductor device employing the cured article. |
