abstract To provide a remedy for a liver disease particularly by inhibiting the onset of portal-veinninfusion (PVI), an excellent remedy/preventive for a liver disease containingnmenatetrenone as the active ingredient is disclosed. This remedy/preventive forna liver disease is efficacious against liver cancer, in particular, DCP (des-γ-carboxy prothrombin)-positivenliver cancer. The above-described remedy/preventive for a liver disease containingnmenatetrenone as the active ingredient exerts a remarkable effect of improvingnthe prognosis following a therapy for liver cancer, thereby showing an excellentneffect as a liver cancer recurrence inhibitor too.
